HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Warrants detail what led to the arrest of a Socastee High School paraprofessional on Tuesday .

Horry County police arrested Patrick Fischer, 40, on Tuesday after officers responded to the high school regarding an alleged assault between a staff member and a special needs student.

Warrants say it was captured on security cameras in the gym, showing Fischer walking up to the victim to stop him from hitting a volleyball net with his hands.

When Fischer approached the student, he allegedly put his hands on him, causing him to seize up and put his hands on Fischer in a “non-aggressive manner,” the warrants say.
