West Nipissing is once again hosting its Kids’ Safe Halloween event and is seeking volunteers to help make the day memorable for the kids.

“We’re looking for spirited groups to set up booths, hand out candy, and help create a safe trick-or-treat experience for all the little ghouls and goblins,” municipal staff said in a release. “Whether you’re a business, club, or community group, this is a great opportunity to showcase your creativity, support the community, and be part of the Halloween magic.”

Be sure to bring plenty of candy — last year, more than 1,000 children participated in the evening’s festivities.

The event takes place on Halloween — Friday, October 31 — from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Marcel Noël Hall inside the West Nipissing Community & Recreation Cent
