U.S. District Judge James Hendrix told Ronnie Manuel Garcia on Thursday that he doubted the sincerity of his words expressing a desire to change his ways during a sentencing hearing after admitting to coordinating the trafficking of more than a dozen kilos of methamphetamine from his prison cell in Big Spring.
Garcia, 33, was already serving a 15-year federal prison sentence for trafficking cocaine in Lubbock when investigators discovered his role in the methamphetamine trafficking operation last year.
"Clearly, you are not interested in changing," Hendrix told Garcia before handing a 405-month prison sentence.
