BELMONT – Excellence in all phases of the game was key for Buckingham Browne & Nichols as it cruised to a 30-7 football victory over rival Belmont Hill Saturday afternoon.
The Knights (3-1) didn’t punt once and produced 370 total yards of offense. Head coach Mike Willey credited the efficient play to the team’s steady improvement throughout the year.
“We took a step forward today,” Willey said. “Our guys played hard, well and executed when we needed to.”
Belmont Hill (0-4) started with possession but had its opening drive stall out at midfield. The Knights moved downfield but a strong defensive stand by Belmont Hill forced BB&N to settle for a 17-yard field goal from Vince Snoonian.
