A man was injured in a motorcycle-versus-SUV collision near 6 Head of the Bay Road on Saturday afternoon, October 11.
Bourne Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle around 2 PM on Saturday. Officers arrived on scene to find the operator of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Taunton, on the ground with suspected serious injuries, the department said. Officers provided medical aid until Bourne Fire and EMS personnel arrived, the department's statement said, and the man was then medflighted to an area hospital via helicopter.
Police said that the operator of the SUV, an 84-year-old man from Bourne, remained on scene and was not injured.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Counsel Crash Reconstruction
