A bakery located in regional Victoria has been crowned home to the country’s best vanilla slice for the seventh time.

Sharp’s Bakery in Birchip took home the top prize at the prestigious Great Australian Vanilla Slice Triumph in Merbein, Victoria on Saturday.

The family-run bakery is no stranger to the competition, having last won in 2022 and six times before that.

Owner Brad Sharp, who has been working with his father at the bakery for about 30 years, said the judges had no feedback about their winning slice.

“We actually asked them this year was there anything that we could improve and they reckon it was spot on so we’ll probably try and replicate that again next year,” he told 7NEWS.com.au.
