NEW ORLEANS — Saturday for the city’s primary election. The two at-large city council seats were decided. Some other races will head to runoffs.

WWL's Political Analyst Clancy DuBos projects State Rep. Matthew Willard, a Democrat, will win the New Orleans City Council At-Large Division 1 race, securing the open seat vacated by Helena Moreno, who was projected to win the race for mayor.

Willard defeated Democrat Delisha Boyd and Republican newcomer Matthew Hill, a local restaurant owner.
