BUTTE — Last year’s Class A state volleyball match came down to a five-set contest between Billings Central and Frenchtown.
On Friday during Butte Central’s Blocktober tournament, the two west-east rivals met again, this time in the semifinal as number one seeds in their respective pools to secure a spot in the championship match of the championship bracket.
The fight between the two volleyball powerhouses ended with a 25-22, 25-11 win for Billings Central to face Havre.
In the end, Billings Central ended up winning it all with a two-set, 25-16, 25-19 win over Havre.
The Rams have reached the Class A state championship match for nine years in a row and secured the title last season, and are currently undefeated this year.
