In the past few years, more young children and infants are developing sensitive skin conditions. According to the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) in a recent Indian expert consensus report, there is an increase in Indian children suffering from Atopic Dermatitis (AD) with incidents ranging between 20-39%. While not all babies have specific skin conditions like AD or eczema, many children experience increased complaints of rashes, flare-ups etc. Today, about 30% children who attend paediatric out-patient departments experience dermatological disorders, necessitating early intervention for helping management of sensitive skin conditions like AD in children.
