The Oklahoma State Cowboys started the second half of Saturday’s game against Houston trailing 24-10. The crowd was looking for something — anything — to give the team a spark.

In the mostly empty student section, one fan came up with an idea. He took off his shirt and started twirling it over his head.

Like all good ideas, it snowballed from there. Soon two more fans joined in — then two more. Fans from around the stadium got out of their seats to join them. What started with two people grew into three whole sections of shirtless fans.

Despite the Cowboys being outscored 15-7 in the second half, the crowd grew larger and louder. Members of the OSU band and male cheerleaders joined in. One shirtless fan even hung out of one of the Boone Pickens Stadium suites.
