LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. — The Arkansas man who was charged with killing an accused sex offender whom he found in a car with his 14-year-old daughter in October 2024 is now running for Lonoke County sheriff.
According to reports, Aaron Spencer launched a campaign on Friday where he announced that he is running for Lonoke County sheriff, as the head of the agency that arrested him last October.
Spencer faces second-degree murder charges for the death of 67-year-old Michael Fosler, who at that time faced over 40 child sex crime charges involving Spencer's daughter.
During the incident, a confrontation between the two men began and ended in Fosler being shot. He was pronounced dead while still at the scene.
