GRAND FORKS — Last week, the UND football team addressed a 2024 nemesis by winning on the road, something the Fighting Hawks didn't do all of last season.
On Saturday in front of 11,960 at the Alerus Center, UND took down another 2024 nemesis. This time, it was Youngstown State quarterback Beau Brungard.
No. 13 UND scored on its first four drives of the game and rode that fast start to a 35-17 win over Youngstown State, a team that beat the Hawks in overtime last season behind Brungard's 176 rushing yards.
The Hawks, who survived a sluggish third quarter, improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
