ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester’s most creative food drive is back this weekend. The 16th annual Canstruction Rochester design-build competition was held at The Strong National Museum of Play on Saturday.
Thirteen local teams participated, designing and building large sculptures made entirely from canned goods. The structures will remain on display through October 25, giving visitors a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Since 2006, the competition has reportedly donated more than 370,000 pounds of canned goods to those in need.
