MILWAUKEE -- Jacob Misiorowski made headlines this year as a rookie with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it fastball. He leaned on that heater in his first postseason outing in Game 2 of the National League Division Series on Monday.

So with the season on the line in a winner-take-all Game 5 on Saturday at American Family Field, the Brewers’ young phenom bombarded the Cubs with more breaking balls than he’s thrown in a game his entire rookie season. It worked, as he turned in four solid innings before being replaced by Aaron Ashby in the sixth inning with the Brewers ahead, 2-1.
