ARLINGTON, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — San Angelo’s Gavin “El Ultimo Dragon” Ceniseros didn’t leave the cage with a win Friday night, but he left with something just as valuable in the fight world — respect.

Making his professional XKO debut after a 7-6 amateur run, the 24-year-old Ceniseros faced a taller, younger, and heavily decorated opponent in former XKO amateur champion Mason Williamson, who normally competes at 155 pounds and held a three-inch height advantage at 145.

Williamson came out aggressively, landing early head shots before taking Ceniseros down just under the two-minute mark of Round 1. From there, he rained down heavy strikes, threatening to overwhelm the San Angelo fighter. But Ceniseros refused to break — clawing back to his feet and ending the round in control,
