EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A pumpkin patch in East Grand Rapids supports a good cause. Pinkn' Patch is a non-profit supporting families impacted by breast cancer.
"It's an exciting time; this is finally it's coming into fruition. I can't wait to help that first patient and finally see the fruits of our labor pay off," Scott Packer, Pinkn' Patch founder, said.
Volunteers are painting up to 3,000 pumpkins this fall. Every sale supports cancer patients in a new service starting in December.
"What we're trying to help with are day to day things that help in the healing process," Packer explained.
