KEARNEY, Neb. — After being shut out by the Storm on Friday night, Fargo wasted no time on Saturday as Garrett Lindberg scored 28 seconds into the game as the Force beat Tri-City 4-1 in USHL play.
Ajay White got the win in net, stopping 29 shots. His shutout bid ended when the Storm's Oliver Ozogany scored while the Force were serving a double-minor power play at 15:25 of the third.
Western Michigan commit Luke McNamara scored twice for the Force, including a power-play goal at 15:22 of the first period and adding an empty-netter with 1:47 remaining in the third. He also picked up an assist when his backhand shot found Lindberg's stick for the opening goal.
Nicholas Kosiba, the other Broncos commit, scored early in the second to give Fargo a 3-0 lead.
