It hadn’t been an easy 24 hours for Riverhounds SC.
Late Friday evening the organization issued a well-crafted statement outlining that Bob Lilley had been placed on administrative leave for undisclosed reasons and that Rob Vincent would serve as acting head coach. According to a team official Lilley remains employed by the Riverhounds and is still listed as the team’s head coach.
Without the man who made Lilleyball a staple prowling the Highmark Stadium sideline, the Riverhounds had less than 24 hours to shake off the news and take the field for a critical match with postseason implications against Indy Eleven.
