GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The University of Florida Women’s Soccer team defeated No. 12 Mississippi State 2-1 at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Senior Night Friday.

Despite the senior celebrations, it was freshmen Addy Hess and Sophia Sindelar making the difference for Florida (6-5-3, 2-2-3 SEC).

The Bulldogs (9-3-1, 4-2-1 SEC) got out in front first with a goal in the 18th minute of the foot of Zoe Main, assisted by Tatum Borman.

Despite being outshot 5-2 in the first half, Sindlear tied up the score for the Gators in the 40th minute with a goal assisted by Skye Barnes and Kai Tsakiris.

In the 50th minute, Hess scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal for UF.
