COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The second leg of a Texas two-step for Florida football didn't go as well as its first.
After upsetting No. 7 Texas the week before. the Florida Gators (2-4, 1-2 SEC) fell flat on the road in a 34-17 loss to Texas A&M before 105,086 at Kyle Stadium.
The loss dropped Florida coach Billy Napier to 0-14 against ranked teams away from The Swamp during his four-year tenure. Florida also fell to 3-5 against the Aggies, who joined the SEC in 2012.
Under second-year coach Mike Elko, Texas A&M was clearly the more physical team on both lines of scrimmage, which factored heavily into the outcome.
