LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - No. 9 Texas Tech (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) combined for only 14 catches on offense but a total of 372 rushing yards, 263 by Cameron Dickey, led the Red Raiders to a 42-17 win over Kansas (4-3, 2-1 Big 12).
This is the first time the Red Raiders are 6-0 since 2013.
Dickey’s total is the fifth most by a Red Raider in single-game history, surpassing Byron Haspard’s 260 in 1995. Hanspard, though, still holds the No. 1 spot with 287 in 1996 against Baylor.
Defensive lineman Skyler Gil-Howard was carted off the field with a left foot/ankle injury as he was in a walking boot on the sideline following the first-quarter injury.
The Red Raiders jumped out quick to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The second was much different, though, as Kansas scored 17 unanswered points.
