CAMERON PARISH, La. (KPLC) - Cameron Parish has a new police juror after Saturday’s Open Primary Election.
Wendell Wilkerson was elected to represent District 4, defeating Kirk Quinn in a vote of 127 (52%) to 115 (48%).
Quinn and Wilkerson, both Republicans, competed for the seat vacated when Danny Myers resigned in June.
Wilkerson is a longtime Cameron business owner and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
