EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- A Fall Festival tradition drew a large crowd to West Franklin Street today.

About 100 floats and bands participated in this year's parade and marched down West Franklin Street to Saint Joseph Avenue.

Floats were judged and cash prizes were awarded to the top 5 for decorations.

Dozens of people lined the street, including first responders, who say the Fall Festival is a great way to connect with the community.

"I wouldn't trade the fall fest for the world. I think the opportunity to get out here and see the general public and do what we all love to do is just such a great opportunity. And all of us are here because we love what we do. This month gives us an opportunity to kind of interact with the general public," says Matthew Kohl, an AMR paramedic.
