There’s something about the Milford Pumpkin Festival that feels like coming home, whether you’ve lived in town all your life or just moved in, revelers said of the three-day festival that ended Sunday.

“It’s always been a great thing to do with my family. I grew up coming with my sister and family. Now I have an 8-year-old daughter whom I love to bring,” Kaytlynne White said Friday night as her daughter, Athena, and boyfriend, Willard, snacked on sugar-dusted fried dough nearby.

The best part of the festival is seeing family and old friends from high school, the Milford resident said. White said she is glad the festival discontinued the amusement rides a few years ago and returned to its more traditional, small-town feel.
