The postmortem report of 22-year-old BTech student Udit Gayaki, who died after allegedly being assaulted by policemen in Bhopal, revealed over a dozen injuries to his shoulders, waist, abdomen, and other areas, with the cause of death listed as damage to his pancreas.

Following the findings, Madhya Pradesh police have registered a murder case against constables Santosh Bamaniya and Saurabh Arya, though neither has been arrested yet.

The autopsy, conducted by a team of five doctors at Bhopal ’s TIT College, cited “trauma-induced shock” and “damage to the pancreas,” indicating severe internal injuries from the beating.
