Amid raising trade tensions and strained diplomatic relations between the two countries, US President Donald Trump has reportedly invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the peace summit in Egypt’s Sharm-el Sheik which is likely to be the centre stage that will end the ongoing war in the Gaza strip.

The summit will be held on October 13th and it appears to be a last minute invitation extended by Trump and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The so-called peace summit will witness an agreement between Israel and Hamas to end the war at the Gaza strip. The summit comes in the light of Trump’s recent efforts to bring about truce between the two belligerent countries.
