CRAINVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Village of Crainville will experience a water service shutdown on Sunday, October 12, due to necessary repairs.
The water will be turned off at approximately 3 p.m. to replace a broken water main valve, with service expected to resume by 6 p.m.
After water service is restored, a boil order will be in effect for the entire village. The timing of the repair was selected to minimize disruption to local restaurants, schools, and daycare facilities.
"We know these types of repairs are an inconvenience, but are necessary for the integrity of our water system, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding," said a city official.
Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly for the scheduled shutdown and boil order.
