United States President Donald Trump and Egypt President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reportedly invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the "Gaza Peace Summit" scheduled to be held on Monday, October 13.

PM Modi received the last minute invitation from Trump and Sisi on Saturday, Oct 11, reported The Indian Express (TIE) citing sources.

However, PM Modi will not be attending the summit.

The government officials confirmed that India received an invite but Minister of State (MoS) of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Kirti Vardhan Singh will be representing India, reported News18.

The meeting to be held in Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh, will be jointly chaired by Trump and Sisi to finalise the peace agreement on ending Israel's war in Gaza.
