OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — It's week five of Dancing with the Stars , and one celebrity this season is from right here in East Tennessee .

Actress Elaine Hendrix says she’s “starting to dare to dream” about taking home the Mirrorball Trophy on the competitive dancing show.

“It’s just so different than anything I’ve done before,” Hendrix shared. “Normally I’m playing a character. This time, I’m playing me and I’m pushing myself in ways that I haven’t done in over 30 years.”

Hendrix is known for roles in projects like The Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan and the TV show Dynasty . While she's out in Los Angeles or Atlanta for work, her roots are in East Tennessee.

“No matter where I go, 'cause certainly in the entertainment business, I'm taken all over the place," Hendrix explained.
