Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew is widely considered the centrist hope of the future for the national New Democratic Party, and so it’s of equally wide interest that he has waded into turbulent political waters this week. The province is boiling with anger over the case of Navjeet Singh, an international student-turned-truck driver from Brampton who was behind the wheel of a semi for a November 2024 rural car wreck that killed a mother and daughter coming home from shopping near the town of Altona.
