Two years can seem like an eternity in the NFL. For two teams, it's been a similar story.

The Detroit Lions went to Arrowhead Stadium to open the 2023 NFL season against the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. It ended up being the official announcement of the Lions as a true contender that season, as they won 21-20.

Since that game, Detroit leads the league in wins and Kansas City won another Lombardi Trophy.

These teams are contenders once again in 2025 and meet to cap off Sunday's action in Week 6.

Detroit's rebounded from a tough loss to Green Bay in Week 1 to rattle off four consecutive wins and climb to the top of the NFL in points per game. Quarterback Jared Goff leads the league in completion percentage (75.2%) and passing touchdowns (12).

They'll be back in Kansas City once again to face a Chiefs team looking to bounce back after a close loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in prime time in Week 5. Kansas City's defense has six turnovers in the last three games and the offense has found more of a rhythm, as well.
