Ivisited the protests at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Waterfront three times since Oct. 3. I wanted to see for myself what was occurring, to form my own opinion. My wife and I have had many concerned messages from friends and family across the world (yes, this issue is news in Scotland), and I want to reply how safe and calm our city is with a boots-on-the-ground perspective.

On my bicycle ride home, a creative idea struck me.
