A two-vehicle collision along the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 has resulted in one person being charged with dangerous driving.

Officers were called to the scene east of Sydenham Road on Oct. 9 around 9:30 a.m.

According to police, a car had rear-ended a pick-up truck and then rolled into the ditch.

No serious injuries were reported, although the car’s driver refused medical treatment at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old male from Kingston was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston in November.
