The Utah Mammoth picked up their first two points of the NHL season, beating the Nashville Predators 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night.

“When the game’s on the line, every shift matters and that’s when we want to be at our best,” said Dylan Guenther , who five-holed Nashville goaltender Juuse Saros for the game-winner and his second goal of the year.

Now Utah will wait for word on the health of one of its top defensemen.

Moments before Guenther scored the game-winning goal, defender Sean Durzi took a hard hit and had to rush to the bench, where he held his shoulder in obvious pain.

Durzi missed 52 games last season after suffering a shoulder injury just four games into the campaign . He was sidelined for five months after undergoing surgery.
