The city’s Department of Parks and Youth Services is Toledo’s biggest and best video game developer.

The team?

Forty-seven kids.

In partnership with BESN X Community, these students have worked tirelessly over the summer to build Park Quest, the first video game set in Toledo.

In the game, players protect a virtual version of Ottawa Park from the littering Night Jogger. Every aspect of the game, from character design to coding, was created by student participants ages 11 to 17.

The first preview of Park Quest will be at the Tuesday opening of BESN X Community’s STEM & Data Center at 1256 Broadway St.
