A member of both the Ohio high school softball and wrestling hall of fames, Joe Wyant has 52 years of coaching experience.

A 1971 graduate of Lakota High School, Wyant has coached football, baseball, softball, and wrestling at several northwest Ohio high schools.

He has coached football for 42 total seasons, split among Lakota, Oak Harbor, Eastwood, and Gibsonburg.

Wyant played football, wrestling, and baseball at Lakota and then served as a wrestling assistant coach there in 1973. He coached at his alma mater for 22 years through 1995-96 and become the program’s head coach for the next six seasons.
