KUPWARA OCTOBER 12: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today visited Halmatpora to inspect the ongoing works related to Water Supply Scheme (WSS).

The scheme is part of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), aimed at providing functional household tap connections (FHTCs) to every household in the area. The main components of the project include two borewells with pump rooms, electromechanical components for single-stage lift, two reservoirs of 30,000-gallon capacity each, and a comprehensive pipe network covering both the rising main and distribution system.

Once completed, the scheme will benefit approximately 3,746 residents of Pir Mohallah and Sofi Mohallah by ensuring a sustainable
