HARRELLS — In a thrilling five-set showdown Tuesday night, the Harrells Christian Academy volleyball team pushed the visiting Greenfield Knights to the brink before falling just short, 3-2, in front of an energetic home crowd.
The Lady Crusaders showed fight throughout the evening, trading momentum with Greenfield in what became one of their most competitive matches of the season. The Knights took the opening set 25-16 before Harrells bounced back to claim the second, 25-21. Greenfield answered with another 25-21 win in the third, but the Crusaders refused to fold, edging out a tense 28-26 victory in the fourth to force a decisive fifth set.
The Knights ultimately prevailed 15-10 to seal the win.
Despite the loss, Harrells head coach Marissa Parks said she was proud of her team’s resili
