Oct. 13-15, the Sampson County Animal Shelter will be hosting free animal adoption days to give furry friends a new home.

The shelter will open its doors to the public to let those seeking a new addition to their families come pick a pet up completely free of charge. In past years, the shelter has done this event on an annual basis, only one day per year. Now the shelter wants to extend the event over a three-day stretch, giving future pets a better chance at finding a home.

“We wanted to give all our animals a chance to find their forever home,” said Shelter Director Anna Ellis. “We’re hoping every adoptable animal finds their perfect fit.
