The never-ending quest to figure out what’s for dinner can be a real slog. I envy people who are okay with making the same handful of recipes over and over again. Alas, that’s not me. I crave variety — but that doesn’t mean I need to reinvent the wheel every time supper draws near. Instead, there are certain recipe formulas I lean on regularly. One I didn’t think about until I started developing recipes for my Dinner in Minutes column: beans with sausage and whatever produce strikes my fancy. In the past, it has resulted in recipes for Cabbage, Sausage and White Bean Casserole; Plantain, Chorizo and Black Bean Stew; and Corn and Lima Bean Soup With Andouille. This time around, it led to this Apple, Sausage and White Bean Skillet.
