The Candlelight Dinner Theatre, a popular spot for dinner and a show in Johnstown, has purchased an additional 16 acres adjacent to the existing property with hopes of turning the theater into a performing arts destination serving the entire region.

Current plans for the new land include an entirely new performing arts center with a new, state-of-the-art stage, an outdoor amphitheater, a learning center where song and dance instruction can take place, and other improvements.

The Candlelight is thriving amid a climate post-pandemic that saw similar theatres across Northern Colorado closing shop, according to owner and executive producer Dave Clark.
