STAMFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - One person is fighting for their life after a crash in Stamford.

The crash occurred in front of 2635 Long Ridge Road at around 4:37 a.m.

Police say a 2016 Nissan SUV pulled out in front of a 2016 Volkswagen SUV that was driving on Long Ridge Road.

The driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old Norwalk resident, suffered serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 24-year-old Stamford resident, and the front seat passenger, a 30-year-old Stamford resident, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

All three were transported to Stamford Hospital Emergency Department for treatment.

Long Ridge Road was closed for around 5 hours while police investigated.
