CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — One person was transported to Memorial Medical after a car crash occurred overnight on Highway 80.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:35 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Hwy 80 and Johnny Mercer Blvd.

The Chatham County Fire Department responded to the incident and extricated the driver from the vehicle.

Both lanes of Hwy 80 were closed after the incident occurred, but have since reopened.
