An retired elderly female elementary school teacher accused of sexually abusing five pupils was wheeled into court by her husband.

Now aged 88, Barbara Joan Baxter was found guilty on March 3 2025 of sexual assaulting a series of male children throughout the 1980s. She was placed under house arrest until a hearing on October 3, which had been delayed twice at the request of her defence.
