The Phoenix Suns have a unique preseason that’s crammed in the middle with three games in five days, but with extra time before and after.

They had eight days of training camp before their first preseason game and seven after their final one on Oct. 14, before their season opener on Oct. 22.

“We have a little bit of a preseason because of our China trip and because of that fourth game after,” Suns first-year head coach Jordan Ott said. “That puts a curve ball in all this. We have to get our guys ready and our group faster than probably normal. We obviously started early, but we only have three games, you know. That fourth game is going to be different when we fly back from China. Two days later, you play.”
