Ration card holders in the remote Chikonchara ADC Village, under Jampuijala block are expressing deep frustration as ration distribution remains suspended for several days, reportedly due to internet problems. Residents fear that, much like Laxmi Puja, they may have to celebrate Diwali without the government-promised free ration items such as semolina (suji), flour (maida), and sugar.

Chandra Debbarma, a resident of Chikonchara ADC Village under Jampuijala Block, voiced her anger while speaking to the media on Sunday. She said, “We had to buy suji, maida, and sugar from the market to celebrate Laxmi Puja. Then what’s the point of the government’s ration announcement if we never receive them?
