The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic crash involving a hay wagon that injured several people including a Macomb County woman and killed another woman, authorities said Sunday.

The incident took place about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 when the sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting a car had crashed into tractor pulling a hay wagon on Smiths Creek Road, west of Burns Road, in Kimball Township that resulted in several injuries.

Deputies said a 79-year-old Kimball Township man was operating the tractor pulling a trailer with five occupants when it was hit from behind by a Buick Regal being driven by a 44-year-old Kimball Township resident.
