TWIGGS COUNTY, Ga. — Hunting season is ramping up across Georgia, and a family-run preserve in Twiggs County is preparing for the influx of outdoors enthusiasts as the season approaches .
Sawblade Outfitters, operated by Kenny McCrimmon and his wife, Deborah, is marking its fourth year offering hunting experiences and lodging on about 300 acres of Central Georgia land.
Bow and primitive weapons season for deer runs through Oct. 17, with firearm hunting set to begin next week on Oct. 18.
"I'm just an outdoorsman, and now I get to do it more than I want to, but we do enjoy it," McCrimmon said. "I look forward to deer season every year. It's just my way to be out there by myself and enjoy the outdoors."
