MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis firefighters extinguished two early morning house fires Sunday, the Memphis Fire Department (MFD) said.
MFD responded to a home in the 1700 block of Callis Street just before 5:30 a.m. Crews arrived and quickly contained a fire in the kitchen of a two-story single-family residence.
According to MFD, the fire was determined accidental and caused about $8,500 in structural damage and $3,500 in contents.
MFD also responded to a residential fire on James Road.
No injuries were reported for either incident, fire officials said.
