Over-80s with car insurance are being handed a financial boost as the cost of premiums drops . Data from Compare the Market shows older drivers aged between 65 and 79 were paying an average of £388 for car insurance coverage last August.
However, this has now fallen by £63, with most road users paying just £325 to use the roads. Many insurers cover people over 80, though others might have restrictions in place.
Age Co offers Car Insurance, provided by LV=, which has an age limit of up to 110. This means more people over the age of 80 can find protection, according to Age UK.
